Julie Manga Maniac Cafe: It was well described, horrifying, and yet it gave you some chance to empathize with the main heroine and feel something for her. It could be a good start to a new series. I went through pages and from the suggestions of time lapse I had come to the conclusion that the heroine was 17 going on 18, only to find the celebration of her 16th birthday.

This series may not be as perfect as Sky O’Mally but is a second best. Her mother, appalled at what has befallen her daughter, helps Bianca flee to a seaside villa where she meets Prince Amir, grandson of Memhet the Conqueror.

You lost me at the donkey. I personally choose historical, paranormal romance for the happy ever after that is “typical” rather than what I found in this novel. I will never marry again!
