A good reference to keep on the shelf too! Maed are 31 pairs of spinal nerves and 12 pairs of cranial nerves. Might have made it better. I am fortunate to have been one of his students. Overall I find this book helpful. Might cause confusion for pre-clinical students who haven’t studied neuroanatomy beforehand.

The cover illus- tration was prepared by Sixten Netzler. Want to Read saving…. There are too many names for the same thing. This book gives an excellent review of all of the some clinical concepts in a way that is easy to understand.
Clinical Neuroanatomy Made Ridiculously Simple (Interactive Ed.)
The author manages to take a subject that is often complex and present it in a way that simplifies it to the main concepts. The drawings and riciculously related to the brainstem were particularly helpful, providing mnemonics after concepts were presented. This now-classic text presents the most relevant points in clinical neuroanatomy with mnemonics, humor and case presentations. Useful addition to other more comprehensive texts. If only this website had the option for my massive notes packet for neuroscience ridivulously that would be on here as the only true thing that I am currently reading. I refer to it over and over.

Better for the clinical years than the pre-clinical years, although I used it during both. Med School Nerds Like Me. I am especially indebted to Dr. I originally got this for medical school, but unfortunately never got to use it for that purpose.
Many details are omitted for practical purpose and the author offered some ideas on neuroabatomy to memorize stuff.

Would recommend this to medical students. I understood more about Neuroanatomy reading this book than reading the entirety of Carpenter.
