It may be the most aggressive projects at SU since the Carrier Dome was built nearly four decades ago. Earlier this week, we distributed the summer construction update.

Now that more members of our community have returned to campus, we wanted to share this update again as it contains important information about bus routes. Additionally, the maps we previously shared did not provide the csntro alternative text to be accessible for drumlinx members of our community.

We apologize for that oversight and have provided this information in both map and text form regarding a number of new transportation options now available for members of our campus community.

Specifically, there are a number of new bus stops that are now operational along College Place and Waverly Avenue. The new bus stops will afford passengers more convenience in taking drumlind Centro bus either to the downtown Syracuse transit hub, or popular destinations for shopping and entertainment throughout Central New York.

The bus stops and destinations are highlighted in the map below and followed by a text-only description. There will now be four bus stops located on Waverly Avenue, including two stops for buses heading eastbound, and two stops for buses heading westbound. Stretching from the Newhouse School complex to the Schine Student Center and Bird Library, the project has created a pedestrian-friendly promenade from what was once a busy street with heavy vehicle traffic. The walkway features activated plazas, improved landscaping, increased ADA accessibility and a greater sense of physical connectedness for all members of the campus community.
